Taking a step towards creating a beautiful map and bringing your story to life can be tricky for anyone. I'm here to help! I will work with your ideas, whether they are little x's on a big circle or a roughly sketched outline. I promise to take your creation and turn it into something beautiful.
The Process
The very first step to designing a map is filling out the form below. This will help us communicate and will get you a more accurate quote. Sometimes, people think they need to pay for extras when those things are included in the standard package!
Once I’ve received your form, I’ll get in contact with you to discuss your map. I will send you a formal quote which you can approve or deny. The things you need to have ready for me are:

Turn-around times on maps are between 3-6 weeks, depending on the level of detail in your map and your revisions.
Once I’ve received your form, I’ll get in contact with you to discuss your map. I will send you a formal quote which you can approve or deny. The things you need to have ready for me are:
- A list of geographical markers. This means major cities, mountains, oceans or seas, forests, and more. Just a list with their names and a brief detail will help me design the small indicators for your map. ONLY include what you want displayed on the map.
- A rough outline. Draw circles. Draw boxes. Draw squiggled lines or draw a bunch of X’s on paper. If you know the shape you want your continent or country, give it your best (or worst) doodle. If you don’t have a desired shape, leave it to me and the beans!
- Any fonts or icons you want used on the maps. Please be sure to have the license agreement for all items being used. I will request a copy for verification only. Anything I put my name on must be clear of copyright issues. If you have no icons or fonts, leave it to me! I source only licensed fonts and icons, or I hand draw them myself.
I will verify your map in 3 steps.
- When the shape is complete. (We can do up to 2 revisions on the shape once I’ve started drawing it.)
- When the initial sketch is complete. (At this point, 1 revision can be done to placement.)
- When the final touches are being made. This means text is added for all maps and color is placed for colored maps. (At this point, 1 revision can be made.)

The Client Portal
The client portal is where you will get updates on the days I work on your map within the turnaround time. Your invoices will be linked in this portal, a copy of your contract will be available here, and your final files will be sent via this portal. Anytime you have questions or concerns, you can leave comments or questions in the portal.

Social Media Sharing
On your contract, you will have a place to indicate your preference in relation to my social media sharing. If you wish for me to not share anything until after publications, be sure to check the box on your contract and provide the publication date.
If you do not check the box and provide a date, I will assume I am safe to mention your work on my social media.
My goal is to never ruin your author experience.

Payments
Payment plans are available. Regardless of plans, I request a 25% deposit to secure your time slot once the contract is signed. Prices and final quote include processing fees, copyright license, and taxes. BARTERS are the exception.
